Skolfield Sports Performance is hiring a Sports Performance Coach in Saco, Maine We’re Maine’s premier athletic performance facility, and we’re looking for a coach who wants to do meaningful work with a team that takes coaching seriously.

The Role
As a Sports Performance Coach, you’ll design and deliver training programs for:
- Youth athletes (approximately ages 8–18) across different sports
- General population adults focused on strength and fitness
You’ll coach both individuals, groups, and teams, teach high-level technique, and help create a training environment that athletes and parents trust.
This is not a “count reps and smile” job. It’s a coaching role for someone who cares about:

Who We’re Looking For
We want someone who can coach with confidence, communicate clearly, and bring the room up when they walk in.
Qualifications
- NSCA-CSCS required (or must be able to obtain within 6 months of employment)
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (strongly preferred)
- 1+ years of coaching experience in sports performance / athletic development
- Youth coaching experience is a big plus (teams, internships, volunteering all count)
- Personal training or group fitness experience with adults is a plus
- CPR/AED certification required
- Solid foundation in:
- Strength training technique
- Speed and agility development
- Conditioning methods
- Strong communication skills with:
- Athletes
- Adults
- Parents
- Professional, reliable, organized
