Skolfield Sports Performance has partnered with the Parisi Speed School to offer a Youth Sports Performance Training Program. The Parisi Speed School Program was the first Sports Performance Program offered in Maine. For 10 years the Parisi Speed School helped 1,000’s of youth athletes reach their athletic potential and Skolfield Sports Performance is proud to bring that program back to Maine.

Why Should You Enroll In the Parisi Speed School?

Science has proven that ages 8 to 12 are the most critical years in a child’s life for motor skill development. Our Parisi Speed School Jump Start Program utilizes the most up to date research in a fun and friendly environment to build your young athlete’s physical foundation, improve coordination and self-esteem through our signature speed and strength training methods.

Our Performance Coaches are specifically trained to motivate and challenge athletes while providing age-level safe and appropriate training techniques and corrections that set a foundation for good lifetime habits. Jump Start is a must for any child who wants to develop foundational athletic skills that will help them rise above their competition.

Speed is a learned skill, and Parisi Speed School is the place to learn! The Jump Start Program has been proven to enhance:

*Please note that the video references 7-year-olds, however at our facility we do not start kids until they are 8 years old.

 

Performance Evaluation

The Performance Evaluation is the first step and a mandatory event for every athlete that enters the Parisi Program. During the Evaluation, the athletes will be taught our signature dynamic warmup and tested in a battery of physical speed and strength tests. After the evaluation, every athlete and parent will meet individually with the evaluator and review the results.

Review Results & Recommendations

Immediately after the evaluation, our testing expert will discuss the results of the evaluation. This will identify your athlete's strengths and weaknesses as well as explain the best way to group your athlete in our program.

Select A Program & Begin Training

We have several training options to fit your child's busy schedule. Training options can be as few as 2 times per week and as many 6 days per week. We will recommend the option that best suits your child needs based upon the results of the evaluation.

Training Areas

Our Parisi Speed School Program focuses on the following training areas:
o Acceleration - the ability to reach your maximum speed in the shortest distance or time possible
o Change of Direction - the ability to accelerate, decelerate and re-accelerate in any direction, without losing speed or balance
o Top Speed - the ability to maintain your maximum speed while maximizing stride length and stride frequency
o Total Conditioning-This is a circuit style workout using various training modalities (medicine balls, plyoboxes, sandbags, bodyweight, etc to promote strength, stability, and cardiovascular fitness.
